Is Emily Morgan Related to Piers Morgan?

Emily Morgan was a journalist working for ITV, leading the channel’s coverage of the global health crisis and becoming well-known because of it. The combination of her surname and the fact that she was a journalist meant that a number of people wondered whether she was related to Piers Morgan. Piers is also a journalist, albeit many people feel that you need to use the word loosely as far as he is concerned. It is interesting that people wondered if the two were related given their professions, which might be because some people will often go into the same line of work as one of their parents.

Who Are We Talking About?

Although Piers Morgan is known to most people around the world, largely because he has carved a career out of being a ‘personality’ and rubbing people up the wrong way, not everyone will be all that clear about who Emily Morgan was. Although she was the Health & Science editor for British broadcaster ITV, there is an argument that that isn’t a role that all that many people will be particularly familiar with. As a result, we’ll take a closer look at the two of them here:

Piers Morgan

Piers Stefan O’Meara was born in Reigate in Surrey on the 30th of March, 1965. He went on to study journalism at Harlow College, becoming the youngest editor of a British national newspaper for more than half a decade when Rupert Murdoch gave him the role at the News of the World. Morgan would become the editor of the Daily Mirror and became known to most when he started presenting TV shows both here and in the United States of America, such as Piers Morgan Uncensored on TalkTV.

Emily Morgan

Were They Related?

If you look at a professional such as horse racing, it is not uncommon for families to share career paths. Perhaps that is why some people wondered whether Piers Morgan and Emily Morgan were related, given the fact that the were both journalists and also worked at ITV at different times of their lives. In reality, the two are not related, with the shared profession and surname likely to be the only things that they had in common. Piers Morgan is well-known as a sensationalist, often saying controversial things simply for the sake of doing so, whilst Emily seemed to focus on telling stories accurately and without hacking anyone’s phone in order to do so.
